Due to the conflict and continuous crisis, Yemen is the most significant food security emergency in the world. In response to the urgent need, Pure Hands provides emergency food assistance such as food baskets and free meals programs. A major part of Pure Hands’ operations focuses on food security (food basket distribution) across the country.
FOOD SECURITY projects.
Pure Hands contributed to improving availability and access to food for the needy and vulnerable groups through its emergency food assistance project. This project was undertaken in collaboration with all stakeholders. In total, 247,276 individuals benefited from this project, at a cost of $1,269,605 during year of 2018.
Food Basket Distribution.
This project was designed to relieve and reduce the suffering of poor people. Pure Hands was one of the humanitarian organizations that responded to the humanitarian crisis by providing basic food assistance for the most vulnerable groups in various Governorates across Yemen.
This project aimed at reducing the suffering of poor people by allowing them to have access to daily bread needs.
Two bakeries were established in Ibb City, to provide bread for 10,500 people on a daily basis
In addition, bread packages have been distributed to the needy people in Al-Dhale, Ibb, Sana’a, and Aden Governorates
In 2018, Pure Hands contributed to improving food availability to the most vulnerable groups by distributing ready meals for them.
