Charity Events.

Pure Hands holds many charitable events throughout the year to help spread awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and gather donations and charitable contributions. Our events range from charity dinners and drives, to speaking engagements with prominent thinkers, activists, and local leaders.
Please attend one of our events below if you would like to learn more about the crisis that Yemenis face everyday, or learn more about how you can make a difference. Every person, every donation, every contribution counts.
Let’s work together to help and support the people suffering in Yemen when they need us most.

According to the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) “[the] severity of needs is deepening”. The number of people in acute need increased by a staggering 27% over last year – when it was already the most acute crisis across the globe.

The OCHA 2019 Humanitarian Needs Overview for Yemen report focuses on key humanitarian issues: basic survival needs, protection of civilians and their livelihoods, and essential basic services. More than 20 million people across the country are food insecure, and half of them suffer from extreme levels of hunger.

Of those 20 million, 14.3 million people are classified as being in acute need, with around 3.2 million requiring treatment for acute malnutrition; that includes two million children under-five, and more than one million pregnant and nursing women.
