Orphan Sponsorship
DEFINITION.
The ongoing war in Yemen has left more than 1 million children without a proper support. In fact, 1.2 million children have been reported in 2019 as orphans in Yemen from which less than 5% have been sponsored.
Orphan Sponsorship: Many children not lose one or both of their parents, but they are also forced into early marriage or child labor which leads to missing out on their rights to education. Pure Hands provides children with the necessary financial assistance to enable them to continue their schooling. This program secures support that helps these children’s families (usually a single parent) purchase not only food, but school supplies, clothing, and essential health care services.
Eid Gifts: Pure Hands distributes new clothes and provides cash assistance to orphans during Adha and Fitr Eids.
Psychological Support: Pure Hands also offers psychological support sessions to children and women who are negatively affected by the ongoing conflict in Yemen.

Sponsor a Child and Change a Life.
Orphans Sponsorship is the most effective way to end child poverty. It does not only address a child’s immediate physical needs, it also builds self-esteem. When orphans find out they’ve been sponsored, the joy they feel is indescribable. Just knowing that someone across the globe cares means more than you can imagine.
In 2019, Pure Hands paid monthly financial assistance to covers a child’s educational fees, school uniforms, food and health care, which give sponsored orphans the chance to grow up safe, healthy and educated. More than 918 orphans benefitted in 2019.
